Marshall Orthopaedics, in collaboration with Marshall Health Network, is seeking a fellowship-trained orthopaedic joint replacement surgeon to join its practice in Huntington, West Virginia. This position is based primarily at St. Mary’s Medical Center and offers a well-established clinical practice focused on adult hip and knee reconstruction.
The successful candidate will join a comprehensive joint replacement program serving a broad regional referral base. Both Cabell Huntington Hospital and St. Mary’s Medical Center have achieved The Joint Commission (JCAHO) disease-specific certification for Joint Replacement, reflecting a strong institutional focus on quality, outcomes, and standardized care pathways.
Physicians in this role are employed by Marshall Health and are eligible for a faculty appointment with the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. Participation in resident education, research, and other academic activities is optional and available for candidates with an interest in teaching or scholarly work. There is no requirement for academic productivity, and the position may be structured as a primarily clinical role.
The practice is supported by modern operating facilities, experienced APP and care-team support, and collaboration with Scott Orthopedic Center, a longstanding and respected orthopaedic group within the region. This affiliation enhances access to clinical resources, referral networks, and comprehensive orthopaedic services.

Completion of an ACGME-accredited orthopaedic surgery residency
Completion of a fellowship in joint replacement
Board-certified or board-eligible in orthopaedic surgery
Eligibility for an unrestricted West Virginia medical license.
Marshall Orthopaedics is an academic-based physician group affiliated with Marshall University’s Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine.
