SPORTS MEDICINE PHYSICIAN

Opening in San Jose, California

This full-time position, practicing full-scope sports medicine within an Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Department, requires Family Medicine training and Sports Medicine Fellowship. This role provides the medical care for the San Jose Sharks, as well as its AHL affiliate, the San Jose Barracuda, and is responsible for a portion of game coverage of the Sharks and medical care to all the athletes of both teams. The Department includes other Sports Medicine physicians and sports-trained Orthopedic surgeons. Full spectrum ultrasound procedures are supported with a strong referral base from a department of over 20 providers (physicians and PAs). Significant opportunity exists for resident education (we have a Family Medicine residency, and the residents rotate within our department for their sports medicine training. No call responsibilities.

SPORTS MEDICINE PHYSICIAN

Opening in San Francisco, California

This is a full-time position practicing full-scope sports medicine in an independent Sports Medicine Department within a multi-specialty Sports Medicine Center located in the Mission Bay neighborhood of San Francisco. BC in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Med/Peds and completion of an accredited Sports Medicine Fellowship required (CAQ preferred). Proficiency in common point of care musculoskeletal ultrasound diagnostics and procedures required. You will be working alongside our three current Sports Medicine physicians as well as three sports fellowship-trained Orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, athletic trainers, and a neuropsychologist.  Our group provides the medical care for the Golden State Warriors as well as several colleges, high schools, and mass participation events. There is no call. We are a teaching hospital with residents and medical students rotating within our Department. Significant opportunities exist for both GME and CME teaching. The Permanente Medical Group has a robust sports medicine program consisting of over 100 sports medicine physicians and providing care to six professional sports teams as well as numerous universities, colleges, and high schools. Proficiency in medical Spanish or Chinese a plus.

Full-time annual salary range is $267,000 to $275,000 plus additional potential incentives up to $24,200*. Reduced schedules with pro-rated compensation may be available. *Some incentive opportunities are estimates based on potential premium pay.
