About Our Program:

As a Level II, American College of Surgeons–verified Trauma Center, Vassar Brothers Medical Center provides comprehensive and expeditious care for victims of traumatic injuries. Our multidisciplinary trauma team includes:

• Board-certified trauma surgeons
• Orthopedic surgeons
• Neurosurgeons
• Emergency medicine physicians
• Anesthesiologists
• Radiologists
• Critical care specialists
• Nurses, and rehabilitation experts

The team provides 24-hour immediate coverage to assess and treat patients according to national guidelines, with a focus on maximizing patient recovery and outcomes. Our comprehensive approach includes:

• Rapid Assessment & Stabilization
• Advanced Diagnostics & Imaging
• Life-Saving Surgical Interventions
• Comprehensive Orthopedic Trauma Care
• Seamless Transition to Rehabilitation

The ideal candidate is:

• BE/BC in Orthopedic Surgery
• Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma required
• New graduates and experienced surgeons encouraged to apply

Compensation for this position is a competitive $1,700 for a 24-hour non-restricted call shift.
