The UTRGV SOM seeks a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon to expand our specialty practice and be Core Faculty in a developing Orthopedic Residency. Candidates with Orthopedic fellowship training in Spine, Adult Reconstruction/ Joint Replacement, Hand Surgery, Orthopedic Foot & Ankle or Sports Medicine are preferred. As a Core Faculty member, selected candidate will participate in direct patient care, scholarly activity, faculty development, patient safety and quality improvement initiatives, prepare and provide didactics, participate in the evaluation of the residents & the program, and prepare for and participate in ACGME and other accreditation and non-accreditation site visits.
